Terms of service

Last updated: 2026-04-27

The short version

Nodus is software for running a small firm. You pay us, you keep your data, and either side can end the agreement. The longer text below says the same thing in legal form.

Who we are

Nodus (“Nodus,” “we,” “us”) is an operating system for small professional-services firms. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your credentials private. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to bind your firm.

Fees and refunds

Subscriptions are billed in advance on the schedule shown at checkout. Founder deposits and other one-time charges are described on the page where you pay. Refunds are at our discretion outside of statutory rights. We use Stripe to process payments; their terms apply to the payment itself.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Nodus to break the law, send spam, harm minors, attack the service, infringe someone’s rights, or run workloads that put other tenants at risk. We can suspend or close accounts that do.

Your content

You own the content you put into Nodus — client records, documents, messages, files. You grant us the limited license we need to host and operate the service for you. We don’t sell your content and we don’t use it to train models.

Service availability

We work to keep Nodus running, but the service is provided “as is.” We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Scheduled maintenance and incidents are posted on our status page.

Termination

You can cancel at any time from your account settings. We can terminate for nonpayment or material breach with notice. After termination you have a reasonable window to export your data; after that we may delete it.

Liability

Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits; in that case the limit is the smallest amount allowed by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, email account owners. Continued use after that means you accept the update.
